WORKSHOP: Social Care Visioning – in person

Help shape the future of social care in Dumfries and Galloway

With Gareth Marr, Deputy Chief Officer of the Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership, and Deputy Chief Operating Officer of NHS Dumfries and Galloway.

Third sector and independent sector play a vital role in supporting people and communities—and now, more than ever, your voice is needed to shape the future of social care.

Join us for a key session with Gareth Marr as he shares the case for developing a new vision for social care in Dumfries and Galloway. This is a chance to engage early with emerging ideas, challenge assumptions, and influence strategic decisions that will affect how care is delivered in the years ahead.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • The growing pressures on statutory services and the opportunities for community-led support

  • The draft principles behind the new vision, including community-first approaches, digital innovation, and integrated care

  • Strategic shifts such as a new “front door” to care, rebalanced commissioning, and support for multi-disciplinary working in communities

Your insight, experience, and innovation are essential to building a more responsive and sustainable care system.

A further online session is to follow.
