In a post-collapse landscape where former high ground has become islands, two migrants –mother and son – arrive at Autumn Ridge. They are welcomed in a way they haven’t previously experienced and learn how the community has built a sustainable and egalitarian
way of life.
This rehearsed reading of a script by Tessa Gordziejo, directed by Rod Dixon with a cast of professional and student performers, is part of a Support for Ambition award from Arts D&G and the first part of an exciting future project in Thornhill. Audiences are invited to join The
Ridge, hear its stories, find out more about the project and have an early input into its development.

Deiseil means ‘ready’ in Scottish Gaelic: be ready for a mesmerising reflection on how issues of culture, identity and connection still resonate through society today. Groundbreaking new work from award-winning director Gerry Mulgrew (six Fringe Firsts), dance Alison Carlyle and musician Amy Geddes.

Rebecca Hill and Charlie Stewart are a harpist and fiddle player based in the thriving traditional music scene in Glasgow. Their debut album 'Thawcrook' recorded in 2022 seen them reach the finals of the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards ‘ComposeroftheYear’ category in 2023.
The pair experiment with contemporary compositional techniques, creating hypnotic themes and integrating large sections of improvisation within arrangements, bringing an off- the-cuff, conversational feel to their music.
They further develop this sound in their upcoming album, ‘Glas’.

Synopsis
Macbeth, a loyal soldier, meets three witches on the battlefield who foretell his rise to the throne. Consumed by the prophecy, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth descend into a spiral of ambition, betrayal, and bloodshed.
About the Show
Macbeth Muet is a bold and physical reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s tragedy, crafted for adult audiences as well as teenagers aged 14 and up. This wordless performance offers a radically fresh perspective on Macbeth, plunging viewers into a visceral, fast-paced world of ambition, blood, and downfall.
Drawing inspiration from the silent film era, grand guignol, and melodrama, this adaptation dials the intensity up to 11. Macbeth Muet fully deconstructs the original play into a raw theatrical experience, using the body, objects as imagery, and buckets of fake blood. Entire scenes are distilled into a single glance, revealing the poetry and physicality beneath Shakespeare’s words.
It presents a world so devoid of morality that human lives seem as disposable as cardboard cups. And the excess—the blood, the scraps, the waste—is left behind for future kings to inherit.

The Young Theatre Makers are back, following their productions of ‘5’24’(2024) and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Moon Dream’ (2025) they return to the stage at OST with this powerful tale of the courage of youth.
An immersive production with live music, directed by Jessica Fusco-Naish, with a small ensemble cast of 12-15 year olds, this promises to be an evening of raw and honest theatre. Set against the backdrop of World War One, it is as relevant today as it was over 100 years ago.
The Peaceful brothers, Tommo and Charlie, have a tough rural childhood facing the death of their father, financial hardship and a cruel landlord. Their fierce loyalty to each other, and the love of their mother and older brother, pulls them through, until one day they both fall for the same girl. And then the Great War comes.
The play tells the story of teenage boys fighting a war they don’t understand for people they cannot respect, while family at home live a parallel existence waiting for their boys to return. We join the Peaceful brothers in the trenches as they tell us a story of courage, devotion, friendship and sibling rivalry on what may be one of their last nights on earth.
This version of Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Simon Reade, was first performed at Nottingham Playhouse on 12 February 2022.

Over the past few months, local artist Emily McLatchie has been running a fantastic After School Art Club at OST, giving children the chance to explore their creativity and try a range of different artistic ideas.
This exhibition will showcase the children’s wonderful work, including recycling art, landscape painting, drawing from shadows and nature, clay making, and creative responses to soundscapes.
It’s a great opportunity for the community to see what the children have been learning, celebrate their creativity, and support Emily’s inspiring work with young people in the village.
Free entry. The exhibition will be open to view on 21st and 22nd March, with the main viewing on Saturday 21st March from 12–4pm. Simply come along to the main space at OST, where Emily will be there to talk about the children’s artwork and the creative process behind it.
