Community Garden
Our Community Garden is a friendly, welcoming space where people can come together to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills and grow fresh fruit and vegetables. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or completely new to growing, the garden offers a relaxed environment where everyone can take part, share knowledge and connect with others in the community.
Our weekly drop-in sessions are a great opportunity to spend time outside, meet new people and learn more about planting, growing and caring for a shared garden space. Together, we work on seasonal gardening activities, from planting and tending beds to harvesting produce and maintaining the garden for everyone to enjoy.

Drop-In Sessions
Community gardens bring people together while creating something positive for the local area. They provide a space where people can learn new skills, share knowledge and spend time outdoors in a relaxed and supportive environment.
At Old School Thornhill, we believe that gardening can be a great way to improve wellbeing, connect with nature and build friendships. Working together in the garden helps strengthen our community while growing fresh, seasonal produce that everyone can enjoy.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the garden, whether you want to learn something new, meet people or simply enjoy spending time outdoors.
You can:
- Join our weekly drop-in sessions
- Help plant, grow, and maintain the garden
- Share your gardening knowledge with others
